Which Lahore Result Methods Are Actually Available?
BISE Lahore’s current online result system is based on roll-number search. It asks the student to choose Matric or Intermediate and enter a roll number, exam type, year and CAPTCHA. A direct result-by-name field is not present. Lahore Board also uses result Gazettes for HSSC result records. For SMS, use only a code specifically confirmed by BISE Lahore for the relevant result cycle.
| Method | 2026 status |
|---|---|
| Roll number | Verified official result method |
| Name | No direct name field on result search |
| SMS | Use the current board-confirmed code |
| Gazette | Board-issued result record |
How the Official BISE Lahore Result Search Works
Open the Lahore result system and select Intermediate. Enter the roll number printed on the examination slip, choose the correct Exam Type, select the relevant Year, complete the CAPTCHA and submit the form. These are the fields shown on the current BISE Lahore result portal.
Before using the marks shown on screen, match the roll number, candidate name, father’s name, registration details, group and institution or district where those fields appear in the returned record. The result record can contain candidate and registration information in addition to the roll number.
Select the correct HSSC Part-II First Annual 2026 examination rather than an older annual or second-annual session. Changing the year or exam type can return a different examination record.
Forgot Your Roll Number? BISE Lahore Has a Separate Recovery Route
A forgotten roll number does not make result-by-name available on the Lahore result portal. BISE Lahore runs a separate 2026 HSSC roll-number-slip system for private candidates that can help recover the examination slip.
The current slip portal accepts Form Number, current exam roll number, previous exam roll number, Reference Number, or the candidate’s full name with the father’s full name. The name option belongs to roll-slip retrieval, not result search.
Private candidates should use details from their admission form. Regular candidates should check their institution or the board’s current student service if the slip is missing. Once the correct roll number is recovered, use it on the result portal.
Lahore Board Jurisdiction
BISE Lahore currently covers Lahore, Kasur, Sheikhupura and Nankana Sahib. Candidates registered through an institution or privately under Lahore Board should use the Lahore result system even if they later moved elsewhere.
If you are unsure which board holds your examination record, check the board name printed on the roll-number slip or registration documents rather than choosing from your present address.
HSSC Marks and the 2026 Passing Rule
The applicable Punjab HSSC scheme carries 1,200 total marks across the main Intermediate groups. Pre-Medical totals 1,200 through 555 Part-I marks, 555 Part-II marks and 90 practical marks. Pre-Engineering also totals 1,200 through 570 Part-I, 570 Part-II and 60 practical marks. The distribution differs by group.
IBCC’s new grading policy sets 40% as the new passing standard, but its phased implementation does not automatically place every Grade 12 candidate under that standard in 2026. The figure should therefore not be applied to HSSC Part-II candidates without the applicable cohort-specific BISE/PBCC instruction.
For Lahore HSSC Part-II 2026, the board’s declared result and applicable examination rule should determine pass or fail status rather than a copied 33% or 40% figure.
Gazette, Result Card and DMC After the Result
The BISE Lahore HSSC Part-II Gazette 2026 should be accessed through the board’s official result records when published for this examination. Lahore Board has used official HSSC Gazettes in previous result cycles.
The Gazette can support candidate or institution-level result searches according to its published format. Use the 12th Class Result 2026 Gazette page for the current Lahore Board Gazette access status.
BISE Lahore’s current challan system includes a Detailed Marks Certificate (DMC) category and a Result Gazette / CD category. The board also operates a digital result-card system for examination records.
After the result, Lahore Board also provides services for attestation, document verification, NOC/migration, duplicate or triplicate certificates and record corrections. Its official result-statistics archive currently contains separate Intermediate 12th Class records through 2025; 2026 statistics should be added only after the board publishes them.
Rechecking, Six Passing Chances and Marks Improvement Are Different
Rechecking
BISE Lahore operates an online rechecking system. HSSC Part-II candidates should use the fee, deadline and application window stated by Lahore Board for the relevant 2026 result cycle rather than applying a previous examination’s deadline automatically.
Six Chances for Passing
A BISE Lahore circular dated 4 May 2026 records a PBCC decision increasing passing chances from four to six for the specified Secondary School and Intermediate candidates from Session 2022–2024 and onwards covered by that decision. The circular dealt with candidates granted additional chances for the Intermediate Annual Examination 2026.
This rule concerns additional chances to pass an examination. It is not the same as marks improvement.
Marks Improvement
Lahore’s current HSSC scheme separately provides four examination opportunities within four years for improving marks or grades, subject to its conditions. The policy permits specified improvement categories and states that the highest marks obtained are counted toward the final result.
A failed candidate, a candidate seeking rechecking and a student improving an already passed result may therefore use different procedures. Follow the category stated in the current board notice before paying a fee or filing an application.
If Your BISE Lahore Result Is Not Showing
If the Lahore result page returns no record:
- Confirm the roll number from the examination slip.
- Select Intermediate, not Matric.
- Choose the correct Exam Type and Year.
- Re-enter the CAPTCHA if it is rejected.
- Recover the roll slip first if the roll number is lost.
- If the result has just been declared and the portal is unavailable, wait briefly and retry.
- If the record shows a withheld or other special status, contact BISE Lahore rather than treating it as an ordinary fail result.
Keep the roll number, registration details and examination session ready when contacting the board. The official result portal currently requires the same core search fields described above.
